This diamond bur is the smaller of the two in the kit (ideal for premolars and anteriors) and is perfect for performing the contact opening technique, ensuring tight contacts between your composite restoration and the neighbouring teeth. The shape is preferred to a ball shaped bur in order to automatically create a bevel around your contact opening producing an anatomically shaped contact area that allows the introduction of floss smoothly.
